On the 1st of February Iberia will be at Forum Cultural José Manuel Figueiredo (Baixa da Banheira) to release the Platinum Edition of «Much Higher Than A Hope».
On the 4th of december IBERIA will play with The Dead Daisies at Lisboa ao Vivo (Lisbon).
In Iberia’s Bassist (João Sérgio) words, “This work is the result of our will to give the fans something more than just a simple re-edition. All the artwork has been changed and it mirrors what we really thought about this latest work but couldn’t make at an earlier date.
Besides, we wanted to give them a bonus and we thought about another format, which is different to what we are used to.
When we received the cultural and artistic merit medal in our homeland, we had a mini-acoustic performance set, which went really well. Therefore, we created an acoustic medley, putting together several songs throughout Iberia’s lifeline and we made a chronologic regression, starting with “Much Higher Than A Hope”, followed by “Revolution”, “Heroes Of The Wasteland”, “Iberia”, and up to our very first hit: “Hollywood”.
We went in the studio and the results are there: An acoustic EP, named “Ellipsis”, which is part of the Platinum Edition and celebrates the band’s 30 years!
At 08/02/2019 will be available the Platinum Edition of «Much Higher Than A Hope». This 2CD Digipack edition is released by Rastilho Records and includes the latest Iberia's album and an EP with 4 exclusive acoustic songs.
On the 11th of September 2018 Iberia received the Cultural and Artistic Merit Medal from Moita's City Council.
The band released a new videoclip for the song «God's Euphoria». The footage was recorded live at Milagre Metaleiro Festival (Pindelo dos Milagres) and was produced by Carlos Guimarães @ G MEDIA. Click the image above to check it out!
On the 25th of August Iberia played at Milagre Metaleiro Festival in Pindelo dos Milagres (São Pedro do Sul) with Iron Mask (Belgium), Saurom (Spain) and others. See the band playing «Hollywood» clicking in the image above.
Iberia were condecorated with a Medal for Cultural and Artistic Merit by their hometown, Baixa da Banheira. The ceremony happened on the 28th of May 2017 at Forum Cultural José Manuel Figueiredo, where the band played a short acoustic set. A fantastic way to start celebrating their 30th anniversary.
